The reality is that you do not have the knowledge skills and abilities to determine the developmental status of the child. I'm not saying he is like a lawnmower engine and I didn't mean it this way. I'm trying to find better ways on how to educate him and help him grow. This doesn't mean I'm doing so at the expense of loving him and giving him a good upbringing. In fact, it's the opposite. He isn't going to develop in the way that I'd like if he has a less than great childhood.
People do get frustrated when they see a child they love so damaged and feel powerless to do anything about it.
