There are too many interested parties involved in the energy sector. Thats with all my appliances being electric and superfluous crap running like a 24/7 file server running. Because my power is so cheap I don't have any problems running that kind of stuff.

Well we’re certifiably not going that.

No need to wait decades to look at the recent data.

London can’t even work out how to properly ventilate their underground rail network.

The solution is obvious: built nuclear power and refrigeration (heat pumps).

Where it’s too cold either nuclear and heat pumps and / or district heating, or burn gas.

Or people can melt in the summers and freeze in the winters. Because that is exactly what “renewables” have been delivering.

No, we're not expecting someone else to stop it. We voted for this. The evil is not imposed on us. It is us. Not everyone, but a majority. The minority is looking for ways to stop it, but it requires getting literally everyone else to work together. Which means any disagreement among them results in a loss, and more of the same evil.

Yes as everyone loves to retort, the planet will survive! We might not, the current ecosystem wont, no one and nothing we love or care about or cherish is likely to. But a very lovely species of bug may at some point look down and marvel at the beautiful new world they've conquered. And I guess we've collectively decided we're happy to give them that.

That communist country is sitting on a year’s worth of oil reserves, and rolls out a ton of coal for when they run out of oil. Makes you wonder why… almost looks like they know they’re going to be under complete sanctions sometime soon! That communist country also likes the current war in Iran. They get all that oil cheap for their reserves stockpile.

The enemy is both weak and powerful.

You don't really have a choice here. As a "conservative" (what ever that means...) I got two different evils that I couldn't stand. I voted third party, but even that party wasn't very close to what I really believe.

The parties are not nearly symmetrical and if Harris with democrats are as evil to you ... then you are literally the problem. And you contributed to everything Trump does.

What "world order" is this? One where cheap energy generation is seen as a good thing? Bizarre that anyone would be against a private company building solar or wind farms in this day and age. For a guy in the ai and cybersecurity industry you seem to have incredibly poor judgement Gyan.

I’ll take the solar. Its efficiencies and maintenance costs are improving way faster.
