So how did your lawsuit go against him?

Is this a joke about how Americans sue over everything?

No? If someone does that to you, publishing a bunch of lies and defrauding the government to shut down your business, then suing them is the correct response.

Suing is very costly, takes year and is mentally draining. And in the end they wouldn’t probably not get much if any money, and may even loose or be dropped. So in this case I understand why they wouldn’t want to do it.

Maybe you're thinking of a complicated case against a multinational corporation against an unclear law. This isn't that.

It was technology. With greater efficiency, came also greater separation and distance at home and with family and community and our initiatory rituals/rites. We used to use community to pass those down, but now the average American family gets divided from each other at an early age as soon as the distraction and ideology from technology like screens and things social media comes into play. Edit: Before internet, the…

What was the social media before social media? TV?

Probably news, on TV, or in the paper, or radio. I imagine also we had more connection socially in areas like coffee shops, the library, bars, etc. What was before that I wonder?

Your thoughts?

Enforcing fares massively decreases vandalism, and antisocial behavior on public transportation. If you don’t have public transportation that I feel safe having a 10-year-old ride on unaccompanied by an adult then you do not have public transportation. You have a very expensive drug addict shelter on wheels/rails.

It's attitudes like that let that stop any and every public transport being built. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s86kEUxxak

I don’t understand how you could possibly get that take away from my comment.

Not maintaining existing public transportation and making it dirty, difficult or dangerous to use is what prevents the construction of more. Voters vote against throwing more money into what seems like a lost cause or at least something they wouldn’t use if they had any other option. In the US any class besides the lowest classes typically does so they avoid public transportation and use cars and so it gets worse.

The transportation must be somewhat appealing to the middle class in order for it to be scalable and sustainable from a tax-policy perspective.

I am very pro public transportation! Would love it if ours and the rider behavior on it was held to the same standard as Amsterdam.

I'm coming to the conclusion that this is the wrong attitude about FOSS. The "model" is: make it possible for people to obtain the product with as little friction as possible. That serves the platforms hosting the product, but how does that serve me as the Maker? I want feedback, I want community (they're not the same the former is users the latter is other Makers). "But the users will suffer frustration and anxiety…

It all starts with making , though.

I don't disagree. What do you make? I've got contact info and a link to my GitHub account in my profile. Are you having problems with motivating yourself to Make?
