Eastern Europe collaborated with the Nazis to attack the USSR. You may not know your own history but I do. Case in point: The Ukraine (Stepan Bandera) and Poland. Look it up.
Russians were the biggest Nazi collaborators in Europe during WWII. Check Andrey Vlasov and "Russian Liberation Army", so called "РОА".

By pure chance, I do have such contacts, they laugh at this decolonization crap. Also by chance, I knew Russians who lived in Yakutia in 1990s, and they did tell me stories of discrimination from the locals. Same as stories of discrimination of Russians in Kazakhstan, Baltic republics, etc -- both in soviet and post-soviet times.

Strictly it is capitalists who run the government.
While an individual can be wealthy, it is those who own the wealth-making-assets who control the government, AKA the capitalists. Because controlling the wealth-making-assets makes you an important element of national security, so you get a seat at the table.
While making 750k a year means you get a seat at your companies table to do what they require of you. It is very very different. It's capitalists VS workers that matters. Not strictly the wealth levels.
