The multiple examples of legal residents being detained for their Pro-palestinian activism? So the Norwegian's account can't be trusted but the CPD's can? Why? Also most drugs are not federal crimes and it sounds like he wasn't arrested for it, so there's no record and therefore no reason to prevent lawful entry.

Good for you I guess but my point was lawful permanent residents shouldn't have to worry about memes on their phones.
We are so nice to non-citizens in America that many of them actually do think they are legally a citizen's equal, except for voting rights. (I used to think that myself.) They are not.
A teacher in school told me about the time they visited East Germany. Armed guards poked though his luggage. It's a slippery slope toward fascism.
East Germany was not a fascist state, it was an explicitly anti-fascist state. Horribly authoritarian, with wanton disregard for human rights, yes, but not "fascist".

Legally they should, especially if those memes are anti-American. They are subject to immigration law, which is constitutional.
