It's a little bit their fault. They host forums but appear not to tend to them. There's endless trash there from external "experts" that rarely engage with the specific problem and have no particular advice beyond sfc /scannow. Good troubleshooting advice can be found but good gravy is it hard to dig up.

I've seen those forums, and they're the worst. Idk why those "experts" are spending so much deliberate time giving people wrong advice.

Ah, you're right. Wow, that EULA is very different from the reality of how people use it, and MSFT makes no attempt to enforce it.

Not emulation, virtualization. That would be easier than emulation or dual booting, if it worked well. Surely virtualization must be getting pretty good given it's ubiquitous use in the cloud. In fact, I was hoping that one day we'd see games distributed in a fully containerized manner so that the OS becomes irrelevant. That's probably just a pipe dream though...

It is, but you can play the 60 hour main story for free. I was surprised by how non-gatcha it was after hearing how bad it was.

If you are not paying for your browser with your wallet, somebody else is paying for you. It has all sorts of implications.

hey I've got a question about Kagi:

so, a bunch of third party apps made for Reddit are getting killed this month because Reddit decides to jack up the prices. What's going to happen to Kagi if/when it becomes somewhat of a competitor to Google/Bing and they want it dead?

What are the competitive alternatives to GitHub for an average programmer? I feel very locked in by the amount of content and ease of use.
