In my perspective, the underpowered part has always been graphic card though.

I think there is also a moral angle that disturbs Windows fans to this as well: This is validation that Apple's heavy-handed walled-garden approach can, in fact, work and even sometimes beat an open ecosystem. That's freaky.
Not really. Apple is one of the few companies that invests in this kind of cohesive experience. It didn’t come out of the blue. Doubt Windows does much in this regard given their atrocious UX
It says something, but for the first time in about a decade, I actually want to get an iPhone and ditch Android. This is coming from someone who used to rock all the Lumia phones. The last straws for me are usb-c and no notch. The next iPhone that has these updates I'll end up purchasing. I'll likley miss the integration of Windows Phone Link, but I can live without that.

You make it sound like that was intentional rather than just a company having to pick it's focus and not being able to cater to every person's complaints.

Like the grandparent comment, I would avoid this M1 Macbook since the developer ecosystem is still unsupported by it. Take this for example: https://github.com/docker/for-mac/issues/4733 Docker still doesn't run on Apple Silicon Macs, so the migration path is already disrupted here.
Personally, I feel like docker is a intermediary product in terms of evolution between servers and cloud, and it's been massively over hyped.
Many use cases, especially when it comes to microservices can almost always better served by something else

The M1 will work as well as Tiger Lake or Renoir which have the same bandwidth and acceptable (not great) GPU performance.

Customers seem to be pretty happy with Apple in general so I can’t imagine they feel disrespected by the price and performance.

The M1 is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s an MVP desktop arm chip. M2, M3... that is when I think we will see stellar performance against things like Ryzen.
I dunno. I find it hard to believe that their next chips will be more powerful. You must have an inside with Apple to know this
So this is it-- the fastest chip they'll ever ship? No more progress can be expected?
