Meanwhile, infant circumcision is still perfectly legal.
And in Judaism you must circumcise in order to signify your acceptance of an ancient religious covenant. Without this acceptance the religion is castrated, eviscerated, made null. Which is of course the sole goal of its critics. There's also solid scientific evidence it contributes some health benefits, but we can and should ignore that.

I think it’s pretty disingenuous to suggest that not allowing foreskin amputation nullifies all of Judaism. Many Jewish people whose parents decided not to circumcise them grow up to have fulfilling spiritual and cultural lives. No one does a dick check when you walk into synagogue. There are many ways to maintain the symbolic importance of circumcision without resorting to unnecessary amputation, such as cutting a s…
Only the Christians that did not have a libellus and refused to conform with the legal requirement to sacrifice were executed.
Most everyone said it's no big deal. You can acknowledge the God Emperor and still be a faithful Christian.
Those that disagreed are now considered to have been "Martyrs", those who died for their faith. But perhaps they were just delusional. What is the harm in sacrificing to the Emperor, acknowledging he is the True God? You can secretly believe in your heart of heart otherwise and there is no problem with that, most people say. It's perfectly fine to kill, to abuse, to do whatever you personally feel is ok. All will be fine. Just do it.

That’s really unrelated. I get that it seems analogous to you, but it’s weird to me that a cats claw is similar to a foreskin in your mind. Declawing is much more like cutting off the cats fingers

#16I have a friend cat who always scratches me, which is quite painful and leaves marks. Is there a way to trim the nails so this doesn't happen, or is the only solution to avoid the cat?

#19Not a cat owner, so actually curious: I have a friend cat who always scratches me, which is quite painful and leaves marks. Is there a way to trim the nails so this doesn't happen, or is the only solution to avoid the cat?
1) Trim the nails like you said, that's not always easy to do depending on the cat. 2) Encourage the cat to use scratching posts more, using treats and catnip 3) Softpaws or similar. https://www.softpaws.com/

Having said that, unless you get them accustomed to the process as a kitten, you may end up suffering more than if you hadn’t attempted it in the first place.
