What, a copy of a MacBook with a touch screen, pen operation, a serious GPU, and a detachable screen that works as a tablet running iPad-style apps? Still waiting for a MacBook that does any of that ;-)
While I agree with the rest, what do you mean by "serious GPU"? GPUs seem exactly the same as MBP offers.

#612Could be a MBP replacement for developers. The only thing is those of us running on OS X, how is Windows 10? I love my command line and linux like commands and tools. - Homebrew - Bash scripts - Docker (Windows 10 currently not supported) - Vagrant I just feel the tooling for MS isn't in the direction I am. I still have a Windows 7 desktop and it's just not the same.
Try Cygwin! It’s a *nix environment for Windows. I plan to install it once I get my hands on this beauty. Package management still works for CLIs, I suppose.

I support the company that makes the closest thing to a product I want. Reimaging the computer is a lot easier than installing your own pointing stick.
I don't think people understand the magnitude of this betrayal. When you buy a tool, it should obey you , and any deviations from that expectation should be disclosed upfront. Imagine if you bought a car that detected when you were driving to a particular business, locked out steering, and instead drove you to a competitor that had "partnered" with the manufacturer. You totally own the car, and no one ever told you i…

* 128GB / Core Intel i5 - 8GB ($1499) * 256GB / Core Intel i5 - 8GB ($1699) * 256GB / Core Intel i5 - 8GB / dGPU ($1899) * 256GB / Core Intel i7 - 8GB / dGPU ($2099) * 512GB / Core Intel i7 - 16GB / dGPU ($2699)
This pricing is absurd, you are better off buying the cheaper models and adding a $350 1TB SSD and 8GB RAM for less than $100... Assuming they haven't somehow locked the hardware.

No one uses numeric keyboard? WTF? How’d you enter numbers then, using the number row? A huge issue with non-standard keyboards are international layouts. German layout is already requiring 2 or 3 keys combined to reach {[]}, but on some laptops you need either 3 or 4 keys combined, or often can’t reach it at all. Equally on most mobile bluetooth keyboards. It’s as if no one thought about languages using more than US…
Dell D630: Want to enter numbers? Hold FN, use uiopjkl;m,./ as a numpad. No mode switching. No one replicated this. Sigh.
However, if you really are into all that much entering numbers to spreadsheet, you'll probably want one of those USB or Bluetooth number keypads.

Pretty sure it's just one of their CDN's failing.
How can we trust Microsoft Azure then?! Not even able to serve their own product
But your point still stands: even Microsoft doesn't trust Azure's CDN offering.

Actually Lenovo preinstalls malware that persists even through complete Windows reinstallations: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/08/lenovo...

You even tried to fabricate examples where the surprise factor of the product not working as expected at a key moment was the bulk of the problem. As if that's somehow not the biggest flaw of a touchpad.

#620THAT is what I've been waiting for, on all fronts. On top of everything else, run Ubuntu VM's on the phone (if and when possible), Surface 4 and Surface Book and you now have the best of both worlds. We run various Windows-native engineering tools (CAD, CAM, EDA, FEA, etc.) yet do a lot of software development under Linux (by running VM's on all of our Windows desktops and laptops). I can imagine popping an SD card i…
