Interesting how types like you will never outright say what they mean because they know it sounds bad when you spell it out.
For example, how is it relevant that my bio includes pronouns and why do you insist on calling me "pronouns bio" because of it? What do you want to say?

The old content can become a liability. Maybe the brand has shifted, or norms have shifted and the old content is off-key.
It was not an issue of refining the content on one site, you make a good point though.
It was more of an issue that they had a bunch of clients on an old CMS system, and they did not want to make any changes the way that the sites were built or hosted.
I can make arguments for and against either side of this idea, it all depends how you want to run your business.

The assertion that the “non-woke” media outlets do not lie or misrepresent information gave me a good hearty morning chuckle.
They do. But pretending that somehow, a terrorist organisation would allow a bunch of woke leftists into their compounds to film is also equally hilarious.
Not to mention all their so called "reporting" on poor neighbourhoods in LA/Chicago, specifically designed to portray black kids as quasi-animals, but I digress. Good riddance to vice.

I've even been considering authoring a web standard to allow hosts to specify how their pages can be archived in a standard way (e.g. which scripts to include, etc.) and then pitch the IA to offer a "pay $X to archive this data forever" deal to the universe. I'm really curious what the cost per byte would be to make it worthwhile to offer a "host this byte forever, for one up-front fee"…

I'm beginning to see the issue. That's 1,5 employees covered by the youtube money, now for the remaining 2998,5...
As someone who has never even tried to monetize youtube, I am shocked that having that sized audience still can't make a go at it as a FT job. Guess I will stick to programming.
I suppose this is why most of the big channels are very upfront about how their bread is buttered by Patreon and merch far more so than youtube adbux.
