Don't want to use JS or transpilers.
If you don't want to use either JavaScript or a transpiler (ClojureScript, TypeScript, CoffeeScript, etc.) that compiles to JS, how do you get what you've built into a form executable in the browser, our current runtime target?
Are you talking about using LLVM in someway?
First famo.us employee here, want to give people some food for thought to consider as you gripe about things like zoom and and the scrollbar (rightfully so). Some of the more controversial points, especially those regarding accessibility and progressive enhancement, made below are my own. I think I'm the only person at the company that browses the web with JavaScript disabled, so I know how broken the original world…
Is the lack of basic scrollbar functionality on the website disheartening and annoying? Yep. Should it be fixed before I use it on any of my websites? Absolutely.
But how about we lose the sanctimonious lecturing on how to launch a product? Much less an OPEN SOURCE, FREE product. None of you paid a goddamn penny for any of it. None of you are losing business because part of it suddenly stopped working in your production site. None of you are ENTITLED to shit.
They put something out there that is a work in progress. I find this particular oversight annoying, but I can still evaluate the library and see if it is something I want to continue using. Listening to this "holier-than-thou" whining is just disturbing. I don't care what your theories on how someone else runs their company are. Apply it to your own and ship your own flipping product instead of sniping others on Hacker News (which appears to really be all HN has become these days).
malandrew, THANK YOU for the work your team has done on a library that has the potential to help us on our own projects, and yes, I do look forward to the glaring scrollbar issue being fixed. Not because I'm entitled to it, but I think your product is an interesting one and would like to see more of it.

Oh we're familiar with it and we spend time trying to get Android working well. It's been a more challenging platform because the performance of the underlying APIs on Chrome has been more erratic. FWIW, I made this versioning mistake because I'm one of the two people in the company who is the least familiar with Android versioning because I work on backend systems and tooling that we'll be releasing later this year.…
Hey Andrew, thanks for the clarification. I only had time to check out Albumatic, Rise, and PHQ4, on the Samsung S4. Albumatic was a bit laggy, Rise & PHQ4 were pretty great. Will have more feedback after the Hackathon.
