This. A good platform isn't about just having people you like on and creating an echo chamber through speech controls. Places that are like that feel downright dystopian.

We should all be using more of those shady services - provided they aren't scams. Those are valuable people providing a valuable service of bypassing enshittification.

Many comments right on this page have mentioned several automatic redirect services, sites, libraries, extensions and apps, any one of which does it all for you, just automatically redirect to a random working instance. Nitter is legal. It's not even circumventing a DMCA effective technological protection measure.

The only major concern is rate limiting. A large Nitter needs a good supply of accounts and IP addresses. A small one can get by with just one of each. Most of the ones on the page will probably be overloaded soon.

You can use www.reddit.com (yes, this domain, not old.reddit.com) with the old UI if you set cookie "redesign_optout=true".
