Ok, this is very different from the situation in Sweden. Many were analphabets and live completely segregated from mainstream society with little hope(or wish) to integrate with Swedish society. I agree with your analysis of the Trump family who have been detrimental for US society.

Near as I can tell, Trump III is also an analphabet, living completely segregated from mainstream society with little hope(or wish) to integrate with Swedish society (or US for that matter).

Where I live in EU, the biggest mall's toilet (single) is paid and not great. Toilet (also single) at the train station (that sees 500k+ volume per day) is 1.5€, and also not great. At least it takes a card.

Why is it expensive? Forced labor and for profit prisons exist. And if there is a life sentence on hard drugs who would possibly have them on them? You could also make it the 3rd offense or something, not that difficult.

So essentially a return to the failed drug policies of the last 50 years.

The problem is money, but at a different level. When you deal with the homeless it's too late. That money must be spent before someone becomes homeless, on welfare: unemployment benefits, accessible healthcare and housing. A minor cut taken care of immediately is nothing, but let it turn into gangrene and you won't be able to fix it at all.

Even benefits etc are too late. The money should be spent on providing hope for people. It's 45 years of neoliberalism that we are reaping.

Good point.

Questions for Sweden might be "How did the US integrate all the illiterate Irish?" (and should they do the same), "How did Australia integrate many non English speaking / writing Vietnamese 'boat people'?", etc.

Unless Sweden in majority is prepared to broom out all that they have accepted in, then this how it is, a mix of cultures having to find common directions and minimise friction over the next generation and a half.

What do you suggest the solution is?

Repeal all prohibition. It enriches cartels and incites corruption. Take all the money pissed up the wall fighting drug crime and spend it on treatment and rehab. Let corporations sell pharmaceutical grade drugs like heroin (junkies don't actually want fentanyl, it wears off too fast while heroin lasts for hours) and pay some fucking tax.
