genuine question, what IP does america presently steal from China?

AI models. If you ask Claude Opus in Chinese which model it is, sometimes it says Qwen.

When you get enormous power and almost zero accountability, it changes you in various ways. I have zero trust Vance is immune to that.

They need to get rid of the Trump family dynasty first. That family is like the ultimate Al Capone family. It is perfected corruption on a daily basis. They wage wars even when a large majority of the population (see recent polls too) is against that, despite claiming there will be no more forever wars - we are seeing right now how those network of lies by the orange king are crumbling down.

Trump's lack of knowledge on many topics, unwillingness to learn from others, and random chaotic capricious nature are on the one hand a problem (e.g. the Iran war) but also prevent his administration from being as effective as it might otherwise be. The bribery/money side is a distraction: yes, it's bad, corrupt, etc., but compared to the cumulative chaos unleashed on the world with the decision to attack Iran, it's negligible.

If Vance took over and pursued the same Project 2025/Miller/MAGA agenda, it could be much better organised, and much more effective. That's even scarier.

How could you tell how close they are to the frontier if they weren't distilling? Clearly those labs think distilling is worth it despite the large effort they need to go through to bypass anti distillation techniques used by the frontier labs

Anthropic is “distilling chinese models”. Everyone uses outputs from every other frontier model in both pre training and post training, hilarious to give it this name and pretend like it’s an attack. Fable is just a distillation of stolen copyrighted works, etc.
