Maybe he just lacks social skills, but I remember watching videos of him talking about mass job loss with what looked like glee on his face. All his actions and communications do not give me a sense that his "principles" are good or even what he claims them to be

I assume what they saw during the first coming of Fable gave them pause. Lots of people I know were using it non stop to the point of serious sleep deprivation. I managed to burn 6k in 3 days on it, and was myself using it from the minute it landed till the minute it was shut off. (Yes yes, I know, I am just saying there were stupid people like me swarming the available capacity)

Yeah for the first time in a long time I ended up using my entire weekly quota. Usually I go slow but with Fable I actively saw a huge benefit in pushing it and doing much more.

This just pushes me more and more towards local models. Even if it's what they have to do, frontier labs working hand in hand with government just makes me really nervous about letting them anywhere near my data. The surveillance state is bad enough as it is.

Because claude subscription tokens are cheaper than deepseek and friends. You have whole industry of people reselling Claude subscriptions in China. Can you comprehend than Anthropic is winning because is both cheap(subscriptions) and better SOTA. People are cheering China providers when I reality they would rugpull open weights the moment they are competive. China models are trash that why they are giving them away…

No, Claude subscription tokens are not cheaper than the Deepseek API. You are dead wrong on that.

You don't have the strong cybersecurity model. That is not Fable. It never was, even at release. The cybersecurity model is Mythos, which was never made publicly available. Fable adds guard rails like cyber refusals to mythos. Mythos is the starting point for fable. Same model family.
