Private ownership of the means of production is one salient feature of capitalism, but it's not the definition. Capitalism is when capital controls everything, more-or-less.

We get what we deserve. We let the top 1% destroy our planet and also let them live the longest in their bunkers, while we deal with the repercussions of not having done enough. The planet is fine friend. The cool thing about the relentless march of technology is that we will eventually fix anything we break along the way. There is no limit to what we can achieve. There is certainly nothing you can do about it so go outside, lie by the pool or the ocean, enjoy life.
