The Apollo photos already on NASA fileservers that were included in this dump are the most compelling to me. Strange how common the triangle of orbs is in terms of sighting reports, and now we see that it was appreciated on the moon and documented as well.

The various reports in there of federal agents experiencing sightings also seem credible and equally bizarre and inexplicable.

I’m surprised as always that outside UFO based forums the reaction to this sort of information is basically nothing. People say well it must be x,y,z in the acceptable frame of reference and move on. Seems this was barely on the front page. I missed it and wondered where the thread on this must be and had to search for it.

A true scientist believes everything is possibly true, not that everything is false and must be established to be true.

For anyone else who has a UFO-crazy uncle, I've found Mick West's YouTube channel to be invaluable https://www.youtube.com/c/mickwest . Mick is a retired video game programmer (Spider Man, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk), who does extremely well-researched videos analyzing UFO claims. He's not flashy or trying to be entertaining, just thorough, evidence-based and scientifically rigorous. He'll even do controlled experiments,…

He doesn't seem to explain the recently popular "transients" though.

what are transients?

So with The War having ground to an unsatisfactory halt, they're now releasing distraction #2. I wonder how many will be needed between now and November? Convince me I'm wrong.

Seems like distractions ...I can't convince you there that the administration's focus on what I would consider low hanging and unimportant ways to make the world a better place not a distraction from the Epstein files and the idea that we have people who are actively in power in our Western societies who are child molesters and human traffickers.

I don't know, he seems to be really smart. Maybe it's a good UFO theory for a change.

It was an interesting thoery, but IMO his habit of making similar claims every time an interstellar object is discovered cast doubt on that original theory.

I'm not aware of any similar claims. I thought the other two interstellar objects were not anomalous.

Those were released and have nothing implicating Trump. In fact, can you point to anything that has implicated Trump in wrong doing?

Sorry, did you forget the comment chain you were commenting on? This wasn't about files that were currently unreleased, it was discussing why Biden didn't release them during his presidency. As far as Trump goes, yes, he's implicated all over the files. A simple search on any search engine will find plenty of examples for you.

Obama and Biden didn’t release any though. Not one.

Instead… The entire DNC spent a billion and a half on an election just on 2024 to lose historically. Lawfare. States trying to remove Trump from the ballots… all the had to do was release even one incriminating file.

You must have seen files I haven’t. Please link to a file that implicates Trump in wrong doing.

Have you looked through the “releases”? Ooooo! Blurry dots on the horizon combined with an “artist rendition” of an oblong flying object. And believe me I so wish we could be visited by intelligent life. Maybe they can share some tips on how to reclaim sanity.

I haven't really. Yes, it's reasonable to feel underwhelmed. I'm more interested in the normalization and development towards further disclosure than the exact specifics of digital records being released, which I expect to be relatively mundane. That's why it's not enough these days to just see something weird. There preferably needs to be elements of the 5 observables, and extensive witness testimony of the exact na…

These releases are nothing new - this is why it’s so frustrating. Trump just takes credit for everything.

CIA releases from 2016: https://www.cia.gov/stories/story/take-a-peek-into-our-x-fil...

NARA files related to ufos: https://www.archives.gov/research/topics/uaps

UFO info from the UK: https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/... (also see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_UFO_Files and https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ufo-reports-in-th...)

I can go on… if you care about ufos then believe me there’s way more info out there than this crappy release!! Again, there is no reason to publicize this except to draw attention away from … unpopular wars, economic trouble, high energy prices, you name it.

Are you seriously suggesting an encyclopedia should be packed with crackpot conspiracy theories, academic charlatanry, quackery, and agitprop? Or does that not defeat the point? Keep the author's biography, but his "theories" are best left for a footnote in the biography, or websites that explicitly serve as a museum for failed ideas.

A) that’s a very biased view of it that you clearly are emotionally invested in B) an encyclopedia should describe all things factually. It’d be one thing if it described it as truth, but describing it truthfully is far different

A) Non-argument. B) Repositories of knowledge should not contain anti-knowledge.
