MongoDB | Staff/Senior Security Software Engineer or SRE - Infrastructure Security | REMOTE (US) or HYBRID (NYC) | Full-Time

We are looking for experienced Software and Site Reliability Engineers to help secure the foundation of MongoDB Atlas, our globally distributed, multi-cloud database platform running across AWS, GCP and Azure.

This is a builder role, focusing on security tooling and observability, runtime detection, hardening policies, and infrastructure-as-code guardrails that protect our massive infrastructure.

Some of the things we're working on:

- Building secure-by-default infrastructure leveraging Linux, eBPF and Kubernetes security mechanisms, and implementing runtime detection and monitoring.

- Developing our in-house CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) and Vulnerability Management platforms.

- Integrating security directly into our CI/CD workflows and Terraform pipelines.

We're looking for engineers with a strong systems mindset who have some of:

- 5+ years of experience in SWE, SRE, or similar roles with some relevant security experience.

- Proficiency in one programming language: Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++ etc.

- Deep understanding of Linux internals, networking, and Kubernetes security.

- Familiarity with one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure.)

- A builder's mentality: you think about failure modes, observability, and operability alongside security and correctness.

For any questions, or to apply (mention HN): Email: hani.benhabiles+hn@mongodb.com JD: https://www.mongodb.com/careers/jobs/7727896

Other SRE / Infrastructure teams as are also hiring. Happy to help.

You will manage technologies such as Pulumi, Argo, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, and DataDog, combined with custom Apple software and tooling. You will oversee and enhance the CI/CD pipeline and support deployment of QA’s automated testing. You will monitor performance of the infrastructure and identify areas of improvement.
