If the company fires hundreds or thousands of people and there is no visible dip in the productivity, is it really a bad thing? One thing that is baffling to me is that these companies can fire 10% of their workforce and they just keep on chugging without a hitch. The bullshit job phenomenon is the problem here.

This presupposes a company can even somewhat accurately track productivity for the short, medium, or long term.

Banks are actually everyone’s friend, there’s a crazy amount of demand for those services for a good reason. Governments aren’t.

Good luck with that approach. Just because there is a demand for a service, does not make the provider your friend. Yikes.

What on earth do you mean with “good luck”? I’ve not once been fucked over by a bank ever. Quite the contrary — they’ve given me hundreds of thousands in loans for something I couldn’t afford, at a price I more than agreed to. That’s exactly what they’re for.

You’re so far off anything reasonable and rational that I don’t even know how to begin addressing your points. Your initial message reads like a person who has taken the first lesson of the first three courses in a political science major trying to describe their self-prescribed problems in the world. Yes, getting fired is an unpleasant thing and a necessary evil similar to break-ups and falling off a bicycle. Life h…

Life has a lot more suffering because people like you don't give a shit about causing suffering to others. And it is not in evidence that this example of suffering is a necessary evil. I'm open to capitalist solutions to the lack of a safety net for people who get fired, but a) you're not proposing any, because you don't see other people's suffering as a problem, i.e. you're an amoral danger to society and b) H.N.-st…

You’re describing a person who isn’t present in my messages (and frankly isn’t me), which leads me to believe you’re having this argument mostly in your head.

Stealing is wrong, and socialism is stealing. I like helping others and I do it all the time. I don’t want anyone forcing me to help others, though.
