You realize difficulty in dating goes beyond the binary of "has partner? Y/N" Your article outlines several potential reasons. Many of which present challenges to young women as well. Do you talk to your female friends about dating? Most of the men in their 20s need a mom, not a girlfriend. There's a reason women are tending to date older guys... and it's really shallow to attribute that entirely to materialism.
Young women have someone to date. Men do not. Young women are not single. Men are.
Therefore, the women have a far easier time. The women are the ones rejecting men and are still not single. That means they have options.
