I was rather grim in my previous posting - and I wasnt attempting to sound _extra_ grim... The things I mentioned are plainly visible, documented, videod, streamed, etc...
However - I do like your optimism. THere will be a lot of really amazing things to come out of the next ~12 months even.
Have you by chance watched the Tristan Haris and Aza Raskin on JRE (its the same talk, essentially, as given at summit) - I feel this one is a much better watch/listen than the summit one though.

What will they do with it? In the videos I have seen it's just a bunch of people looking at photos on the couch or watching a movie, it looks boring.

I think it's quantized inertia that finally gives a theory to explain how to get around the need to carry reaction mass.
I'm patiently waiting for Barry-1 to push itself up into a higher orbit in that manner.

I’m not OP but I’ve always felt good VR will create parallel industries for travel, entertainment, etc. in ways way more interesting than gaming.
Think of examples like seeing the Grand Canyon for 1/10 the price if you’re disabled or elderly.
Or watching an official Taylor Swift concert like you’re actually there, for 1/2 price. No limits on ticket sales.
