We already invented AGI in the form of corporations, but the alignment problem hasn't been solved yet, to the annoyance of some of the GI subcomponents.

I don't think it's greed to want to raise a family in a good neighborhood and provide your children with opportunities. Or pay for your parents medical appointments. Or not want to work well into your 80's. If that's greed then everyone is "greedy".
