Sutskever: "You can call it (a coup), and I can understand why you chose this word, but I disagree with this. This was the board doing its duty to the mission of the nonprofit, which is to make sure that OpenAI builds AGI that benefits all of humanity." That does not change the fact there are no sources. Knowing people does not mean you are never wrong, nor does it mean you will never twist a story.
It means that over a long reporting career, there’s no reason, whatsoever, to believe she’s either lying or twisting things. Being a contrarian for kicks or as a personality is boring: if you want to make an accusation, make it.

This isn’t believable. You don’t fire a CEO and put out a press release accusing them of lying over Dev day. Unless he told them he wasn’t going to announce it and then did.
Reading about Ilya, it seems like he is fully bought into AI hysteria.

When two people have different ideologies and neither is willing to backdown or compromise, one person must "go".
Re: Ilya Sutskever "at the center" of Altman firing?
#50Ilya is the center of Open AI. Everyone else is dispensable.
