I remember working on a project in 2010. We hit multiple crashing bugs in Flash (both runtime and IDE) doing fairly basic stuff. I figured we’d paid for support, might as well use it, and reported them to Adobe.

Literally never heard back until a year later when they closed the tickets saying it might be fixed in the next release and we should buy licenses to find out (spoiler: no).

I asked my two siblings, two friends from my uni days and two friends from work and none of them have used the Lightning (soon to be USB-C) port for anything but charging and music. There is basically no point plugging an iPhone in to a computer. It’s so much more convenient to use airdrop or cloud storage. It’s much more useful on the iPad where you might actually use it as some kind of video editing device and plug an external monitor and ssd in.

I was surprised to see how unnecessarily annoying it is to transfer videos and photos from an iPhone to a Windows PC.

I agree, but I don't think there's any harm in being honest about in this case, since it's pretty on-brand for their public persona. It just seems like a weird hang-up, which ironically fuels the rumor mill. "Hey, isn't this Twitter account run by the same person as that Twitter account?" is pretty harmless as far as "doxing" goes, and when you've let it slip a number of times, what's the point? It's naive to expect total anonymity and zero negative attention with a flamboyant public persona (not meant to be derogatory), especially when you're making money from it, and if you add fuel on the fire on top of that...

It’s pretty easy to move files on and off the iPhone using a usb/portable ssd and the files, hardest part would be you need a usb to lightning otg cable which is somewhat uncommon.

It’s the kind of thing you don’t really do if you follow the apple flow though. You’d either stream the video from whatever service, or you sync it with apple photos and it will be available on your phone.

I have lots of USB-C devices and never had that problem. I'm careful with my stuff though.

Phones are very sensitive to it as they are in a pocket.

Pocket lint -> pushed in USB cable -> after some years the connector wont connect anymore

You might actually expand "Apple likes open standards when it is weak" to "companies likes open standards when they are weak." Generally speaking you get standards consortiums when there is a clear winner that is mopping up the space. Here's an example that's happening right now: Nvidia-NvLink-Infiniband. Publishing someone's real name online isn't doxing when his real name is already publically available online. It just isn't personally identifiable information when it is already public. Is it doxing to say that "rms" means Richard Stallman? Grow up. He is one of many people online that sometimes uses a pseudonym, and pointing out that he contributes to the project as himself and also contributes while creepily pretending to be a female child on Twitch (not at all disturbing, no way) is not doxing.

I don't "feel strongly" about it at all. Save the pop psychologising for someone else. Awful tactic to try to use.
