This is just anecdotal, but I personally have lingering issues from my vaccinations - I started experiencing moderately intense joint pains a few weeks after my booster shot, and they've been cyclically recurring for the past 15 months. I think a lot of people have a hard time with statistics. It's understandable. It's not intuitive and you are not "stupid" because you have no training in statistics. Given that 1 in 1,000 deaths would be a far higher fatality rate than what SARS-CoV-2 causes in many health demographics (and the vaccines don't even prevent infection anyway), no, that would be pretty far from "safe." This was all well understood until everyone completely lost their minds over SARS-CoV-2, of all things.
