#3If this was not a PR move, but a desire to get a sense for work conditions, real problems, etc, it would not be publicized.

#7But seriously, unless the whole shop is staffed by management, to get a taste of the job on some rotation, they will mostly just get in the way of front line people. In high school I hated, hated it when a boss would come in and do work. It just stunk the atmosphere.
