Many don't realize how much control porn has over them until they try to quit. Quitting for 1 day, 1 week can be easy. Quitting for a year? Almost everyone who regularly watches will struggle to do so. Don't let the struggle discourage you. If you give in, try to get back up asap. Even if you don't make it 100% porn free year its not a failure. Wish you the best.
I don't understand why one would quit porn. It's great entertainment. It increases quality of life. It's an integral part of one's sex life. Why would one want to quit?

It's for a niche NES game development hobby that I don't expect to pick up any real steam, but I'd like to see if I can get enough side income from it to de-stress my day job a bit, let me consider a soft-retirement down the line where my primary income isn't the only thing keeping the ship afloat. Just be myself and never plan anything. Nothing ever goes to plan.
On a more serious bend, though, if you don’t plan ahead at all, after a while life’s random walks tend to lead to low energy dead ends.
So even if you don’t set out with a plan for everything, then at least do some regular (eg weekly) reflection, so as not to lose your bearings.
