You can see it on reddit. The subreddits used to be interesting and relatively diverse, now it’s just autoposting by pots and thousands of identical comments. It’s only on the small subreddits that there’s still actual content and they’ll be destroyed with time.

That sounds perfectly plausible except if people are expecting these services to be free like all big tech platforms currently are. In that case the AI will tailor information to manipulate you to do what the people paying the platforms want whether that is buying a product or supporting a political cause.

If it's a personal ai. But I wouldn't trust a centralized for profit "AI".
Journalists atleast (had) ethics and norms that can make me somewhat trust them. A for profit AI filtering information for me? It's asking for trouble.
