I understand that there is some humor in the situation but there's also the serious notion that underlies it.

I'm interested on the affect this mess will have on a hot startup. Will it hurt the company? Will it go away? How will the start up handle it? These answers will be revealed over time but I would have never known about it had I not seen the story here.

So yes, the story has merit. Flagging it is mistake. This type of issue will not be unique. Other companies will have to deal with similar problems in the future so I'm interested on how Beyond Meat will handle it. Start up founders don't have the luxury of hiring experts, we take our lessons from where ever we can.

The end of the article states that: "A Tyson spokesperson said that Ramsey left the company last year on his own accord, unrelated to this arrest."

So it seems he was a FORMER executive, making this article even more irrelevant.

I think it's because there's nothing interesting about it. Guy commits crime, unrelated to why they're notable enough to warrant an article. It just invited shallow conversation, jokes, etc. Contrary to reddiquette, it's perfectly acceptable to flag for quality control. This is a perfect fit there.

Former Tyson executive, but was a current Beyond exec. He joined Beyond in December 2021 after leaving Tyson.
