#32It would be interesting to see if they could control for level of/exposure to formal education in cognitive ability (plenty of smart uneducated people, and dumb educated people). I think this would help tease of if this is a feature of cognitive ability, or if cognitive ability is just a proxy to how much civics education you've likely had.

We have generations of people who have been grown up to self-censor at every step, so by natural extension freedom of speech is not a priority. #35It seems to be based on data grouped on questionable labeling of dubious grouping of people, correlated with a weak proxy of cognitive ability (How many word associations do homosexuals get right; that's really one of the cells in the analysis). And it answers nothing of interest. How is this publishable?

If you really want to scramble your noodle, look at the recent spate of state laws placing restrictions on speech and notice the lean of the parties that control those states.
