I'm in the same boat and have the same worries. I give them a monthly donation to support the company, in hopes of showing that there are paying customers they may be able to fall back on in the future. I can't think of anything else I can do to turn back the tide of the advertiser-developed browser. (Yes, I already know the money doesn't go directly to Firefox development today, thanks.)

On my new work laptop, I installed Firefox first and haven't touched Google Chrome. I've been happy with this and it was finally what made me move off Chrome.

I had this too but it eventually stopped happening on both my workstations at some point during 2020. Could be one of your extensions, is it happening even without any extensions (assuming trying a recent version of FF doesn't fix it already)

Does anyone know how to enable that? I'm on Nightly so I should have it for some time already, but I'm not sure if it is on by default or should I tweak some value.

It's being outpaced by other browsers in a rapidly expanding field, not falling in usage.

Safari and Edge are defaults on iOS, MacOS, and Windows, and Chrome is the default on Android. I imagine we're primarily seeing the effects platform capture everywhere else.

Major browsers can't ditch Flash until Adobe EOLs it. Too many legacy enterprise apps still rely on it, even though they are likely being frantically reimplemented this month. I'm in that boat.

Depreciation in Firefox isn't going to cause that much corporate pressure to finally rewrite those ancient flash apps. When Internet Explorer drops it then they have a problem.

Is there a bug report for this? This sounds like a crazy issue that could not affect more than a handful of users with extremely particular setups.

The only reason I use Chrome these days is for built in translation. Apart from that it's always FF.
