I don’t understand why would you want an illegal handball to not be provable?

The limitations of the referee were a part of the sport, which was always about humans and stories, not the mechanical application of rules.

That's why we are here once again remembering the memorable moment that the Hand of God goal was.

I can’t see how this isn’t celebrating dishonesty and unsportsmanship - both things that undermine sport not make it.

Maradona is the Michael Jackson of football. Out of this world both on and off pitch/stage. A larger than life charismatic eccentric. See the other goal he scored in the hand of God game (a world cup semi final no less) to see a complete picture of what he was all about.

In Argentina there is a religion where Maradona is seen as a prophet, the Maradonian Church.

Given that he said pitch/stage and not pitch/court, I assume he did mean Michael Jackson.
