CCP must not go unpunished. The world needs to stand up to their lone wolf style. If we do not stand up against CCP now it will only embolden the evil. Vote with your wallets. Avoid buying China made products. Pressure/ Make laws for retailers to enforce Country of Origin information for each and every product especially Amazon. Amazon is flooded with cheap Chinese products almost certainly made in inhumane condition…
It's "wolf warrior". Avoiding Chinese made products isn't a practical solution. Contract manufacturing needs to move elsewhere.

Your reaction is "this is horrible and should be stopped" and that's what makes you susceptible to anti-China hysteria. This is just "we don't negotiate with terrorists" in another context. Apparently anyone uncooperative with American business interests in the Middle East turned out to be a terrorist who needs to be bombed/assassinated/coup-ed. America has sanctioned North Korea for going on 50 years now, has that p…
I'm curious what entitles you to claim I am "susceptible to anti-China hysteria"? How could you possibly know that? And what do Uigurs have to do with the Middle East or Korea? And what does American foreign policy have to do with me? I am not an American. There's no logic or reason in your response. You write like an AI bot trained on nothing but Chomsky interviews.

This is disgusting, the level of genocide denial in this thread is something I would not expect to find on HN. We literally have satellite images of these camps, videos of the abuse and still people like you deny. @dang, do we have rules about this?

Did the CIA operate concentration camps for millions of people? No, it ran guantanamo bay which had at it's peak 140 prisoners. My kingdom for a little perspective.
Inventing your own question and then answering that was an interesting thing to do.
It should be obvious to you that something that effects millions of people is much worse than the CIA thing that only effected a couple hundred.

I think you just woke up from cryovac from the 1950s. You should name names of communist agents in the state department

A few individuals buying less stuff isn't going to have much effect. We need something more like the west putting 50% tariffs on Chinese products so all the manufacturing starts moving to other countries. That would probably get their attention.

Country of origin is often not stated on product listings, and it's not clear what it should say for things made partially in multiple countries.
Do some research then. It's not impossible to figure out where things are coming from.

Oh no, imagine resorting to terrorism when your ethnicity and culture is systematically being erased by the second largest regime in the world.
Uighurs have been committing terrorist attacks since way before these camps have existed: 1992 Ürümqi bombings, the 1997 Ürümqi bus bombings, the 2010 Aksu bombing, the 2011 Hotan attack, 2011 Kashgar attacks, the 2014 Ürümqi attack and the 2014 Kunming attack. And bombing a shrine in Bangkok killing 20. Home made bombs dropped in markets, driving trucks in to crowds of people, random knife attacks. Doesn't sound unf…
