Who are these people? I've been working from home and I've noticed a steep dip in my productivity.
People who stretch their budget to live in the best school district they can afford, which usually comes at the cost of spending their life in a car (or train or bus) commuting as far as possible.
Cube farms in America are like adult day care that doubles as a basic income mechanism.
Although of course MY work is very important and useful to civilization...

No wonder given that the daily commute is both mentally and physically taxing for most. I've been working remotely since 2015 and have already decided to settle in a perhaps less attractive, but definitely cheaper neighbourhood so that I could have some office space in the house.
