You either don't live in the US, or have never lived outside an east coast urban center.

And as others have mentioned, if financing can be done for less than the value of the money in your pocket, it's better to finance!

I held on as long as I could and saved up money and kept driving my 11 year old Honda. Had it totaled in a car accident a few months back and had to buy something so now instead of the $35,000 Tesla I had wanted for so long I own a perfectly decent Honda Insight. At least it was cheaper.

Well first off I'd probably never run a 15k interval. Pretty sure that's beyond mfgr spec. We run 7k in our diesel on full synthetic. Stretching a maintenance interval seems pennywise and pound foolish. You also have to consider how much your time is worth of you're changing it yourself to get that cost. Either way it's an added cost(along with transmission, differentials, etc) that you just don't incur on EVs. Right…

You want to do oil analysis like the professional diesel mechanics do.

Most people don't need to change their oil anywhere near as often as the manufacturer specifies. Especially for large diesel engines, it's often fine to run them 3x-5x the interval, but you should do oil analysis and find out, instead of just using the rule of thumb ones the manufacturer gives you.

Middlemen help you buy a car from competing dealers. Buying only from Tesla means you can’t negotiate for a better price.

This is truly the stupidest statement I have ever seen.

You won’t be able to test drive _the specific car you are buying_ before committing to purchasing it. You’d only be able to test drive another instance of that model, but not the specific one you’d be committing to for X years. This deprives you of the ability to, e.g., avoid purchasing a particular instance of a vehicle that has some annoying defect or flaw.

It's not a failure. That's simply outside the scope of credit scoring models.
