The bundled crapware is the reason I switched from Samsung to OnePlus. I've actually gone one step further and run LineageOS now. I've been an Android user since the original Samsung Galaxy, but to be honest my next phone will probably be an iPhone.
I'm not sure I trust them either, unless this apparent backdoor situation has since been resolved? I'd rather stick to Nokia or Motorola.
