I was expecting that. Then I remembered the iPad doesn't support a mouse.

Hey on IE it just scrolls vertically from start to end. To bad the rest of IE sucks.

Well, I guess it's a little crazy if all you were expecting was 8-bit graphics. But for content like that, yeah, I'm amazed it fits in 14MB.

Im comfortable plugging a USB keyboard into it and SSHing into a remote machine to do dev work.

I have a MacBook Pro as well now, so I hardly ever use the iPad Pro for that sort of thing anymore but it was a pretty good experience.

It’s also an excellent music creation device. I originally bought it so I could use apps like Korg Module and Gadget and it’s great for that purpose.

It’s also my favorite device for reading kindle textbooks.

Sure. They still have an edge band (or a back that comes around to act as an edge band). There are no phones with screens that simply stop in a raw cut edge.

I remember when Firefox 2.0 came out, it was 6 MB.

Way more impressive, though, was Opera 9 at 5 MB, which, unlike Firefox, also had a built-in email client, IRC client, download manager, BitTorrent client, ad blocker, debugger (Firebug was an extension at the time), sync, and several other impressive features.

ditto if I could use Xcode on the iPad Pro I'd almost never use my MacBook Pro. That may be why it hasn't happed yet as many of us probably feel that way.

I like my mouse too much for this to be possible.

Selecting/moving text with a finger is more annoying.

It should be taken as an indication that Apple views the iPad Pro as the bottom end of their laptop lineup, which is now standardized on USB C.

Very good point - that makes more sense as to why they would do this. Nonetheless frustrating IMO for anyone who uses the whole line of devices together.

I seem to recall seeing a 2 second thing where they had a pencil and keyboard attached at the same time. And I'm pretty sure they mentioned 192 magnets built into the edges of the Pro. I'm hoping this leads to a future where 3rd party accessories snap on and charge.

I guess it doubles up as a harddisk eraser then...
