#22You can argue if the copyright laws are good or bad but infringing these laws un-anonymously seems needlessly risky to me.

Piracy is a real issue. It disrupts the money flow towards media distributors and artists, and thus weakens the economy.
Also, piracy is, most of the time, a master of convenience: Netflix/Steam have reduced pirating way more than any anti-P2P law.

#26- Governments can disrupt communications by child abusers, hitmen and terrorists.
- Governments can disrupt piracy, consensual online sex work and other behaviors which may be illegal but are widely regarded as benign.
- Citizens enjoy privacy of their personal communications, and can express non-mainstream political views.
Time and again it has been shown that if you clamp down on piracy, you chase users on to hidden/encrypted/anonymous platforms where they provide great cover for people doing much shadier stuff. The only equilibria are either for governments to monitor all communications by everyone ever, or for pirates and amateur pornographers to be left alone.
