Current Stripe customer that is now very confused.
It's basically an automated recurring billing service that you can use whether you run a static monthly subscription service ($9/mo per user), or if you are using a metered approach, such as $0.02 cents per SMS, and then do that on a recurring basis. #18Just received an Email saying this "replaces Stripe Subscriptions", what does that mean exactly? e.g. what happens with our existing Customers and their active subscriptions? IMO this is a poor communication and confusing announcement with lots of open/unanswered questions for existing Customers, which is unlike what I've come to expect from Stripe.
That said, you’ll also get access to all of the new tools as well -- would love for you to try them (and see if it improves your experience!) If you go to the Dashboard, we walk you through what changed in detail -- let me know if that helps, or feel free to send me an email at any point: tara@stripe.com
