OK its pro, but it is also mobile. Who has a mobile device (not something that just sits at your desk all day) with 32 GB of ram?
I have the XPS 15 with 32GB ram, it's an amazing laptop. It becomes essential once you start running VM's or Docker etc

Are you saying that 16 GB isn't enough?
It's common to run several types of server in production, these all need to be run on localhost for development purposes. Also virtual environments so server architecture can easily be scripted.
16GB works for me, but is far from ideal. I was hoping MS would one-up Apple here, but not yet.

I've been waiting for this for a while (despite being a Mac user for years and years). And it doesn't quite compute (ba dum tss). Two reasons really. 1. No USB-C. 2. If I want 16 gigs of RAM, I need to opt for an i7 and half a terabyte of SSD. I wish I could just go for an i5 with 256 gigs of storage and 16 gigs of RAM. That would be sweet (and not as expensive). Too bad, let's see what others come up with.

Apparently the surface connector can do usb-c through a dongle: http://m.windowscentral.com/why-no-usb-type-c-new-surface-pr... Which, honestly, I might prefer right now since I still use mostly usb 2&3 devices.
This product wouldn't be appealing to me if they'd put Type-C on it instead of SurfaceConnect and Type-A.
Honestly, $100 for the pen? That should honestly be included since the keyboard isn't.
Wow, that means they really jacked up the price this year. My SP4 was pen included. $1060 for the m3 model with a pen and type cover.
Honestly, there's no pleasing some people. When the pen was included, everyone was saying, "let me buy a cheaper SKU without the pen; I don't want it!", and now that they've done that everyone is complaining.
Typos aside, hardware looks promising, but Windows...
The only place were I'm ok with Windows is a multi monitor gaming rig.. And that's because there's no other choice.
