The truth is, the high performers meet the deadlines with ease, and go beyond them pretty much effortlessly the majority of the time, so holding them accountable doesn't make them scared, it gives them a platform to feature their ability.
When someone is performing above expectations and others around them are not meeting expectations and not being held accountable, resentment sets in.
