#3All developers should aim for no bugs and test their stuff themselves but of course when deadlines are looming its easier to just code and let the QA team pick it up.

#7Certainly, I'm an advocate of a more responsible dev team sharing the quality tasks and continuous integration too. But no QA at all? Hahah... maybe if you're a web portal that no one depends on for business-critical needs.

However I think there is probably a middle ground where your engineers deliver quality code and you also have a QA team to increase that quality even further.
