#2Not sure if the post author works for Tilt, but going to the Tilt website it looks like you can actually see the A/B test taking place.
If you click on the top left logo, a page will load and then a few milliseconds later it will change to something else.
Might want to look into that, its a bit jarring.

#3I saw this URL submitted twice yesterday, both of them receiving large amounts of upvotes but then deleted after they failed to make the front page.
Note that deleting then resubmitting is against HN rules.

The Hn front page is pretty broken at this point. It's hard to get onto it without a concerted voting effort as we see here (although it can still happen).

Upvote rigging actually doesn't work, which is the case here.

Well the article is on the Tilt engineering blog (engineering.tilt.com), so I'd assume they do work for Tilt.
