#4It may be silly to write a more secure OS in C, but I think it’s important to preserve the C lineage over time, even if it’s not at the forefront.

#10I’m less excited about Hurd than I once was, because now there’s interesting alternatives with good momentum (Redox and Genode in particular). But I’m glad it’s still moving along; it seems to be the only steadily maturing C project with this kind of approach. It may be silly to write a more secure OS in C, but I think it’s important to preserve the C lineage over time, even if it’s not at the forefront.
