On that note, I really hate how apps such as google maps will show a projection once zoomed out instead of a globe. Projections are always going to suck and globes are far superior. Almost all devices have enough computing power to display them.

Maybe it is to distract from his hugely unpopular immigration policy. Maybe it is because, as Trump told the New York Times, possession is “what I feel is psychologically needed for success. I think that ownership gives you a thing that you can’t do, whether you’re talking about a lease or a treaty.” Maybe it is literally about maps.
the major missing potential reason, and I'm not saying it's that one, is that the Epstein files are still only partially released and war works so well as a distraction that it's been featured in multiple books and movies.
