Tell HN: Charles Irby has passed away

Charles was my uncle, and he worked at Xerox PARC back in the heyday. He worked on the original Star OS and so much more.

He was a big inspiration and hero to me, being a software engineer myself.

Just thought I would share.

Growing up hearing about the legendary work at Xerox PARC was inspiring to me, especially in the Midwest where there wasn’t a lot of tech. RIP.

I do not know you, nor did I know your uncle. Nevertheless he was an influence on you and I'm sorry for your loss. May you walk in his light.
