I thought Netflix paid their engineers well. Their service is absolutely not doing well under this kind of load.

We can't see it here in Florida-I get the spinning red thing in the middle of the screen--but if I VPN to California I can watch it.

It's not. Theres been 'live reunion' for Love is Blind, and theres a chef guy that has a 'fully live' show.
I agree the engineer comment is not phrased well but the main point I think is: clearly someone(s) at NFLX screwed up.

That’s odd because the commentators said it was. Maybe first live sports event?
Either way, you’re right. They’ve done several live events.

It’s not unwarranted IMHO: you’re paying a premium for what is assumed to be top-tier talent and engineering rigor. It is reasonable to expect a higher return for that investment.
