#2This site is neither private nor secret. It's a forum where people post links to publicly accessible articles. Lots of technical blogs link to it. As you've already discovered, anyone can join.

#3This url was part of my inheritance from my grand-grandfather, who got it from his grand-grandfather, who got it from his... and so on. A piece of pergament with this address has been a family heirloom for millennias, and my grand-grandson should inherit it from me. Its true meaning has been unknown until just a few years ago.
