I want to solve a problem of difficulty for Enterprise PMs to connect/talk and understand their end users due to the end users and buyers being usually far apart. I myself worked for 5 years as a B2b / Enterprise PM and I understand how hard it is for Enterprise SaaS PMs be more Product people and not Feature Factory admins, especially because the actual users of your product are usually far away and you rarely can actually talk with them.
I don't have any "solution" idea as of know. I don't even know where to focus - qualitative or quantitative user research, or something else. Maybe it would be a simpler Amplitude/Heap/Hotjar clone to analyze behavior, or chatbot or surveys or feedback board or wtf else, but I want to build a specific software to address the problem of understanding end users better for B2B/Enterprise PMs.
I want you guys to help me with it, because I see no specific and SIMPLE solutions for B2B PMs to reach/talk/interact/understand their end users apart from:
-) using something like Amplitude to analyze data of how users behave.
-) begging client MDs to schedule a call with low-level associates who actually use the b2b saas product that you manage.
Few questions from me, but feel free just to write whatever you want about the topic:
Q1: Do you think its even a problem and is crucial to have more interaction with end users for successful product management in B2B settings?
Q2: How do you currently bridge the gap between Enterprise (B2B) PM and end users?
Q3: What tools or methodologies have you found effective in gaining insights into end user behavior and needs within an enterprise environment, especially when direct interaction is limited?
Also, in case you're interested, I'd like to have a call with you to dive into the problem deeper.
