I started building a community to "break" the hiring system because it's SO broken. We have over 2k candidates, and 20 companies in the community - new jobs in as little as 4 weeks when candidates join our programs, and usually 10 weeks. Now that we're getting traction we're reaching out to more companies. They get very confused that our program starts at $500/month to meet up to 50 vetted candidates a month. All they have to do is attend our monthly mixers to meet diverse talent. They ask a lot of questions about finder fees, salary percentages, and ya-da, ya-da. We tell them we are trying to break the current system. We tell them to please stop spending money on a process they doesn't work. They don't understand. But they like who they see on the talent list so they show up. They meet people face-to-face. They hire people that they meet! The community approach works. So! I want to tell these companies very specifically why the current hiring process is broken. I have a lot of reasons, but I want to throw the question out there to see what comes back.
